Malawian chambo is a type of freshwater fish in the Tilapia family that is tasty and only found in Lake Malawi. Mighty Processors dries Chambo-Tilapia to ensure that it reaches others parts of the world while maintaining its freshness and nutritional value. You can have this Malawian delicacy and enjoy the Malawian fish flavor while away from Malawi.

Freshwater fish are mostly low in fat and high in protein. With our dried Chambo, there are two types;

1. Dried Chambo-Tilapia fillets ready to cook
   This type can be reconstituted to its original fresh state by adding cold water. Once reconstituted, you can prepare the fillet as you would prepare any fresh fish fillet.
2. Dried Chambo-Tilapia fillets ready to eat
   This is fresh Chambo pre-cooked and then dried. It has different taste depending on the different spices and condiments added. This can be eaten as a crunchy fish snack or reconstituted to a cooked chambo fillet meal by adding warm water. This type is good for hiking, picnics, military missions as well as humanitarian relief programs as they do not require extra time for preparation.
